In 2024 Narungga People performed two cool burns on Country, one at Ardrossan and the other at Minlaton. These clapsticks have the Narungga totems, Garrdi (emu), Wawi (female red kangaroo), Widhadha (shark) and Wildu (eagle) motifs and holds charcoal from the cool burn at Ardrossan. The ends of this set of clap sticks have been crafted with the ash from the cool burn and bees wax; they will forever carry the story of caring for Country through the cultural practice of cool burns.
