“Marni Miri-Gawi Yarda Gunggaradji”, meaning “Born of the Land and Water” in Narungga, reflects the artist’s deep connection to Country. Inspired by the Tree of Life, this work explores the spiritual and physical interconnectedness between land, saltwater, and culture. Crafted on Country along the Copper Coast, the sculpture embodies memory, resilience, and the enduring relationship the Narungga People share with nature.
